About the 45 for 45 Honours Hub
Welcome to the 45 for 45 Honours Hub — the official digital home for celebrating Wadadli excellence and securing our nation's future.
In 2026, Antigua and Barbuda reaches a historic double milestone: celebrating the 45th Anniversary of National Independence on November 1st, while simultaneously hosting the 28th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2026) in St. John’s. As the eyes of 56 nations turn toward our twin-island nation, the 45 for 45 Initiative stands as a global tribute to the extraordinary people who carry the spirit of Antigua and Barbuda across the world.
This Hub is more than a showcase — it is a living, working engine for global community empowerment built on three core pillars:
We are permanently archiving and celebrating 45 trailblazers, pioneers, and legacy keepers from across the global diaspora. From medical pioneers in New York and cultural champions in London to community pillars across Canada and the Caribbean, these verified profiles serve as an enduring monument to Wadadli achievement.
Legacy means nothing if it isn't passed down. Every 45 for 45 Honouree pledges to lead a "Generational Triad" — mentoring one Diaspora Youth (in the UK, US, or Canada) and one Homeland Youth (in Antigua & Barbuda) simultaneously. This unique three-way partnership creates a powerful, cross-Atlantic peer bridge, transferring knowledge down from our pioneers while connecting our youth abroad directly with their peers back home.
Antigua and Barbuda may be a small island developing state, but our global footprint is vast. We align our community work — from climate resilience and education to healthcare development — with Global Citizen metrics, proving on an international stage that our diaspora is an active, organized force for global progress.
